Christmas Butterfly over at SASPC

Happy Christmas everyone! I have my Christmas post for SASPC
for you today.

I have used #boozy bear Chipboard pieces which I have decorated
with a mix if #Deco Art media line and their Americano
chalk based paints along with #Stampendous
glitters for a Christmas feel.

I used Archival ink to stamp the clocks I then coloured them with Zig
water colour pens to colour in the two clocks I washed with
water till I was happy with the effect.

Once happy with the colouring of the clocks I then coated both
with crackle glaze. Finally when the clocks were dry
i gave them a coat of black antiquing cream which
I knocked back this highlights the cracks.

To give the Harlequin chipboard pieces from boozy bear I painted
them with a coat of Payne's grey first followed by a coat of
Glue I then used the iridescent crystal glitter along with
a pale blue glitter.

The final stage was to coat the chipboard in Deco art media gloss
varnish. The center piece of the chip board clock was treated
in the same way. The outer chipboard was given a coat
of paynes grey followed by quinacridone gold.

I used watch parts to assemble a butterfly shape to which I attached
the wings which I stamped in versfine black ink and clear
embossed prior to colouring in with Zig pens.

For the base I used a Tando creative tag which I painted with Deco
art Raw umber media fluid acrylic this was given a coat of
weather wood followed by a coat of white everlasting
americno chalk paint.

Washes of Raw Umber, Prussian Blue hue, Quinacridone Gold
Once I was happy with the effects I coated it all with media
gloss varnish.

I am proud to be a member of Sandee & amelie's design team.

Happy Christmas everyone!

Finnabair inspired canvas reworked

Hi everyone hope you are all okay and having a crafty time
preparing for Christmas.
.
This was the original which had a lot of layers and the
base had a translucent.
So i gessoed it all with white gesso and allowed to dry.
Next came spraying with Lyndy's stamp gang moonshine sprays.
Followed by a bit of dry brushing with a mix of Deco arts Prussian
blue hue mixed with media tinting base.
Layers of white gesso were dry brushed to highlight the swirls on the
canvas base.
The photo below shows how it lifts the swirls off the canvas.
The following photo's show the dry brushing, over the main focal point
of the canvas.
Another photo.
I really enjoyed altering this. Work had asked me to do a piece for
our office wall so it will now be hanging up on our art wall.
I hope you have all enjoyed my piece today please feel free
to let me know what you think.
Cheers Dee. x

Mechanical World Custer over at SASPC

Hi everyone and its time for our next round of inspiration for
the month over at SASPC blog.

I used the 'Mechanical World Custer" From Boozy bear for
my plaque.

To begin with I used a circular chip board base which I painted
with deco art media fluid acrylic cobalt turquoise hue.

Next I used deco art crackle glaze which i applied over the blue
painted chipboard circle & put aside to do its magic.
Once dry black antiquing cream was used to
highlight the cracks.

The middle harlequin and globe were covered in a layer
of texture sand paste and painted with panes grey when dry.
Quinacridone gold was then applied over the top.

The top cogs wereI usedraw umber followed by crackle paste
gold embossing and dirty washes followed by dry brushing
with gesso completed the top part.

I sprayed heavy water coloured card with Lindy's stamp gang moon shadow
sprays.

Andy skinners industrial stamp was stamped onto the card along with

A bit more embossing stamping the vintage journey stamp onto a wooden stirrer.
I hope you have all enjoyed this post please feel free to let me know
what you think.

SASPC Clock Man by Dee

Hi everyone Dee here a bit late with my post soz!

Its time again for team B to produce their projects for this
months challenge.

I used lots of Tim's stamps and stencils this time as I
hadn't managed to play with them.

As alway I used the lovely Deco art paint in shades of grey and
burnt umber.

Black modelling paste through a Tando stencil over the numbers
Stencil from Tim.

This clock was done on a Tando circle covered in deco art's crackle
glaze once dry antiquing cream finished it of.

Then finally a bit of modeling paste through
the tando flourish stencil.

The smaller clock was used to form the face of the
clock man.

I hope you have all enjoyed this piece and pop over to the blog
to checkout the teams inspiration or even join in
check out some of the amazing entries.

I am proud to be a member of Sandee & amelie's design team.

Stampendous October Catty Ornate Vintage Key

Hi everyone Dee here with one of my Stampendous October Catty pieces
I used the lovely CRS5093 Cling Lilac  stamp set.

Along with that I also used the lovely embossing enamels
which I then  tripple embossed the butterfly's
from the Lilac stamp set.
Lots of lovely Deco Art products were used to create
the worn appearance of this piece.
Firstly I painted it with Paynes grey pior to dabbing on
weather wood randomly. Once dry I painted with the
crackle paint.
Washes of prussian blue hue were then applied in very watery
form as this is a very powerful colour.
I used chunky embossing powder to age the key in certain
area's along with beads and antiquing cream.
Why not pop over to the Stampendous site
and see some of the teams peeks
at the new catelogue.
