Tando & Stampendous Blog hop

Today Tando are teaming up with Stampendous for a Blog Hop. If you have come here first

Hi Dee here with my post for the Tando /Stampendous blog hop I am in an 
unusual position of being on both teams and this
being my first ever blog hop ever!!! 
Lovely Laura Weed sent me these lovely stamps in one of my amazing packages
that I have received from them. Two of the stamps are from their new July 
Catalog and an old favourite and I wander if you can spot some
 Andy Skinner stamps in the mix. My choice from Tando was these 
lovely straight edged arches as I
                                                   felt they would showcase the stamps
beautifully.

Products used
1. Tando products used:- Arches - Straight edged large all Deco Art products used can be found on the Tando creative online shop.
2. Deco Art products :-Gesso, Media Antiquing Carbon Black, media Acrylic paints in the following colours, Pyrrole OrangeQuinacridone Gold Prussian Blue HueTitanium WhitePaynes Grey, Andy Skinners dirty wash, White Crackle PAINT & Ultra Matte.
3. Stampendous products used Stamps:- Raven Skull (CRR228), Chilling (CRR266), Haunted Mansion (CRR267), Andy Skinners Toxic (ASCRS06), Stencils:- Spider Webb (LJ816), Spider (LS28), Long pumpkin Stencil (DWLL514), Dream weaver embossing paste Matte Black, embossing powders:- Chunky gold (FREGO49), Detail clear (DP0200).
4. Graphic 45 Name plate, key.


Instructions
1. Firstly I painted the the arches with Gesso followed by a mix of the Pyrrole Orange and quinacridone gold. I sanded this back and repainted.
2. Next I stamped the images onto the painted surface and allowed to dry.
3. I used vasaline/hair gum to cover the area's that I wanted to show through.
4. Crackle paint was applied over all the arches and once dry a cloth was used to remove the paint & the images below were revealed. 
5. Next I applied Andy skinners dirty wash to seal the crackle paint.
6. I used black embossing paste through the stencils and sprinkled with chunky gold embossing powder and heat set.
7. I then applied the black embossing paste around the edges.
8. Black antiquing cream was then painted over the entire surface and knocked back with a damp cloth.
9. Finally I sanded a couple of area's back and added the embellishments from Graphic 45 and attached the hinges.

The amazing steampumpkin from Stampendous.



Hi Everyone Dee here with my first ever piece that I made for the 
Stampendous New Catalog & Mixed Media design Team.
I have to say absolutely love this chap!!!

 Instructions





1. I Used Tando Creative mixed media boards as the covers for my note book & I cut out enough white card to create a folding book.
2. I put copper embossing paste through the steam punk stencil once dry I painted it with Prussian Blue hue, followed by dry brushing with white  gesso.
3. I painted the pumpkin man with orange/red qu raw umber and metallic paint then washed with quinacridone gold and paynes grey sealed 
inacridone gold,
with mat medium.
4. Crackle paste was put through the spider stencil at top and bottom once dry black antiquing cream was used to highlight the cracks.
5. Outer edges were edged with quinacridone gold followed by treasure gold.
6. Inner pages were folded and washed with transparent yellow oxide outer edges with raw umber Shadows was then stamped on to the washed card.
7. Glass bead, chain and cogs were attached to front of the notebook all assembled and ties together with a leather string.

Pink your life By Dee


These coasters were created by new stamps from the Artist Nicoletta Zanella from the Pink Your Life Design Team for Stampendous.  Stampendous are excited to welcome the Whisper Friends to their stamp collection, the full range can be viewed in the July catalog.

Instructions 
  1. Coat 4 beer matts with gesso once dry put embossing paste through the Mosaic stencil and coat in sparkle & puff embossing powder this was heat set.
  2. I then sprinkled the Lindy's stamp gang powders individually spritzed with water and dried before applying the next colour.
  3. Once happy with the colours i then used the powders to colour in the images that had been stamped onto matt coated paper once happy with the result I coated them with matt medium.
  4. I triple embossed the image from the toxic stamp set and used it to add embellishments to the coasters.
  5. Finally I used the embossing paste through the picasso stencil then coated with chunky Gold embossing powder & heat set. Shabby white was sprinkled randomly and heat set from below.

Latest exciting news!

Hi Everyone! I have some very exciting news to announce. I am not sure how I have kept quite about it for so long. I was very honoured to be asked by the lovely Laura Weed from Stampendous if I would like to join their new team of Mixed media artists, and the answer was a resounding YES!

So here goes Announcing the NEW Stampendous Mixed Media Team UK!
 http://www.stampendous.com have set up a UK-based mixed media team and we are proud to announce today that we are part of it!


We have been quietly creating (behind the scenes) for the new catalogue release, and you’ll be able to see our makes with some fantastic new stamps and stencils very soon.
