A Beer Matt Called Compass

Hi everyone I have for you today a beer mat from my local
micro pub which is called the compass and as I
LOVE compasses and clocks
I offered to alter their
beer mat.

OK for this I used Stone Fresco Finish paint mixed with white acrylic.

Next I sprayed it with Distress Stains spray in Iced Spruce, Faded Jeans
 & Gathered Twigs.

Next I brushed on matt multi medium and dried
with my heat gun.

I had some scrap triple embossed card so I used the New flourish stamp from
The Artistic Stamper and pressed it into the hot embossing powder.

Next I  coloured the embossed card and the die cut cogs with
Deco Art antiquing cream.

The compass stamp is from Indigo Blue I think the other
one is a small Tim Holtz clock stamp.

Stencils and lots of Ferro graphite was used. Tommorow
I will be returning their beer mat to them I
hope they like it! let me know
what you think?

Love

The Artistic Stamper Challenge for this month is LOVE
and as its Valentines I have done a heart using
Deco art media range and the fabulous
Artistic Stamper Swirls stamp.

1. Papier-Mache heart
2. Deco Art Media line Gesso & Crackle paste.
3 Deco art Americano Jack O Lantern Orange, Burnt Orange & Deep Burgandy
4. Media fluid acrylics Quinacridone Gold, Carbon Black Antquing cream.
5. Treasure Gold Spanish Topaz and White Fire.
6. Fimo black clay.
7. Glass Micro beads.

First I covered the heart with Gesso and put on the crackle paste
 with a pallet knife.

I pushed the micro beads into the wet crackle paste, I allowed it to dry
naturally.

I painted the heart with Jack O lantern Orange, then Burnt Orange, next
I painted the entire heart with Deep Burgandy.

Once the paint had dried I then used the Quinacridone Gold.

I rolled out the Black Fimo clay and wet the swirl stamp and stamped
it into the clay three times and cut out. I baked
it in the oven once I took it out I bent it
round the heart.

Once cooled I attached it with a hot glue gun and gilded
 it with treasure gold.

When I had completed the heart it reminded me of the apple in
Snow White as it has a beautiful sheen to it.
What do you think?

Fragile Paper Challenge

Hi everyone I have been off for a couple of days as I mentioned on my last
post yesterday I think wow you can tell by the number of posts that
 I am publishing.

I did this one for the PaperArtsy Challenge it was to be
very simple but just didn't get there.

I used torn paper from a second hand book onto a distress
stain sprayed tag.

I used Deco Art Media line white crackle paint over a random
streaks of fresco finish stone.

I used Tim Holtz Visual artistry stamps with black archival ink. Once the
Media crackle paint had dried I used a tiny bit of watered
down Phihalo turquoise over the top.

I filled in the clock face with Media liquid glass. Highlighted area's
with oil pastiles.

Ok thats it I am going to enter it now I have enjoyed this project.
don't forget to leave a comment or two.
