Flora & Fauna

Hi everyone I hope you are well I have for you today my challenge post
for The Artistic stamper the topic for Aprils challenge is Flora & Fauna.

Firstly I stuck torn pieces of Tim Holtz die cut paper onto a craft tag
with cut out gold embossed boarder stamp from The Artistic Stamper.

I then coloured the tag with distress inks in the following colours
Wild honey, Vintage photo, mahogany & Walnut Stain. This was backed onto
black card and cut with a wavy blade

The flowers were made using card that had been coloured with Distress
stain spray in the following colours wild honey, frayed burlap,
mahogany & faded jeans.

\
The Artistic Stampers flower power stamp was stamped nine times onto
the distress coloured card and then cut out & assembled into the flowers.

Once the flowers were made and stuck together I sprayed them
with Perfect Pearls Heirloom gold.

To finish off I backed it all onto scrap cardboard.

Anything Tim

Hi Everyone! I would like to say a warm welcome to all my new followers
and to say that I am very flattered to all of you who follow
me old and new. I still find it all very humbling.

I am still convalescing and not getting much sleep so doing a lot of
blog hopping. I came across the challenge at A Vintage Journey
and thought I would enter this piece.

I made my own little canvases by wrapping canvas paper round cardboard
and priming with gesso, then swiping with texture paste.

Once dry I sprayed with distress ink in frayed burlap and Iced spruce.
Next I stamped the boy from Tim's Stamp in black archival ink .

Where the texture paste hadn't dried fully you get a slight imprint,
I quite like this effect.

On the slightly bigger canvas I prepped it the same as the first
but put the texture paste through Tim's layering stencil.
Once dry I painted it with pumice stone distress paint
& brushed vintage photo and black soot across
the surface as  well.

The ruler was made using a wooden garden seed stick which I
stamped with the Tim's Ruler stamp in versa fine black ink
and clear embossed it. I then  coloured it
vintage photo with distress ink.

A fuse wire, metal clip, die cut cogs, small clock, larger clock, crackle accents &
a stamped ruler from my stash complete the top canvas

Finally a old bit of twisted wire from my stash complete
the picture.

Gear It Up

 Hi everyone!
I am super excited to have been lucky enough to have been chosen to become
a member of this amazing team so with that in mind I have for you
my first post for SanDee & amelie's Steampunk Challenge.
Why not pop over there and join in with the Challenge,
this month it is Gear it up.

Well as I love cogs this one is easy I had some handmade paper and had
already tried to create a piece that I wasn't that
happy with.

The picture below is prior to spritzing it lightly with faded jeans, salty ocean
distress inks and water to activate.

I used Fresco Finish paints and a brayer then Tim's flourishes,
grunge paste through crafters workshop stencil. Not to
sure you need to do this bit now as I sprayed it all.

I used La Blanche stamps for the centre panel this was done onto
recycled card board.

Tim's Embossing folder (small bingo card ) was used on black card
and highlighted with treasure gold.

Clocks were from my stash I just collect clocks I am not sure where they are
all from.

The cogs are made from a memory box die that has been rusted up with
Deco Arts Multi media Paints.

I added cogs from my stash to enhance the die cut ones.

A close up of the clocks I used crackle accents on the clock faces.

I mounted the entire piece onto foam board to give it more dimension.

I hope you all like my first piece for SanDee & Amelie's Steam punk challenge, &
are now feeling inspired to pop over and play along with us. If you would
like to know more or let me know what you think
just leave me a comment.
Cheers Dee x
