Finnabair inspired canvas reworked

Hi everyone hope you are all okay and having a crafty time
preparing for Christmas.
.
This was the original which had a lot of layers and the
base had a translucent.
So i gessoed it all with white gesso and allowed to dry.
Next came spraying with Lyndy's stamp gang moonshine sprays.
Followed by a bit of dry brushing with a mix of Deco arts Prussian
blue hue mixed with media tinting base.
Layers of white gesso were dry brushed to highlight the swirls on the
canvas base.
The photo below shows how it lifts the swirls off the canvas.
The following photo's show the dry brushing, over the main focal point
of the canvas.
Another photo.
I really enjoyed altering this. Work had asked me to do a piece for
our office wall so it will now be hanging up on our art wall.
I hope you have all enjoyed my piece today please feel free
to let me know what you think.
Cheers Dee. x

Mechanical World Custer over at SASPC

Hi everyone and its time for our next round of inspiration for
the month over at SASPC blog.

I used the 'Mechanical World Custer" From Boozy bear for
my plaque.

To begin with I used a circular chip board base which I painted
with deco art media fluid acrylic cobalt turquoise hue.

Next I used deco art crackle glaze which i applied over the blue
painted chipboard circle & put aside to do its magic.
Once dry black antiquing cream was used to
highlight the cracks.

The middle harlequin and globe were covered in a layer
of texture sand paste and painted with panes grey when dry.
Quinacridone gold was then applied over the top.

The top cogs wereI usedraw umber followed by crackle paste
gold embossing and dirty washes followed by dry brushing
with gesso completed the top part.

I sprayed heavy water coloured card with Lindy's stamp gang moon shadow
sprays.

Andy skinners industrial stamp was stamped onto the card along with

A bit more embossing stamping the vintage journey stamp onto a wooden stirrer.
I hope you have all enjoyed this post please feel free to let me know
what you think.

SASPC Clock Man by Dee

Hi everyone Dee here a bit late with my post soz!

Its time again for team B to produce their projects for this
months challenge.

I used lots of Tim's stamps and stencils this time as I
hadn't managed to play with them.

As alway I used the lovely Deco art paint in shades of grey and
burnt umber.

Black modelling paste through a Tando stencil over the numbers
Stencil from Tim.

This clock was done on a Tando circle covered in deco art's crackle
glaze once dry antiquing cream finished it of.

Then finally a bit of modeling paste through
the tando flourish stencil.

The smaller clock was used to form the face of the
clock man.

I hope you have all enjoyed this piece and pop over to the blog
to checkout the teams inspiration or even join in
check out some of the amazing entries.

I am proud to be a member of Sandee & amelie's design team.

Stampendous October Catty Ornate Vintage Key

Hi everyone Dee here with one of my Stampendous October Catty pieces
I used the lovely CRS5093 Cling Lilac  stamp set.

Along with that I also used the lovely embossing enamels
which I then  tripple embossed the butterfly's
from the Lilac stamp set.
Lots of lovely Deco Art products were used to create
the worn appearance of this piece.
Firstly I painted it with Paynes grey pior to dabbing on
weather wood randomly. Once dry I painted with the
crackle paint.
Washes of prussian blue hue were then applied in very watery
form as this is a very powerful colour.
I used chunky embossing powder to age the key in certain
area's along with beads and antiquing cream.
Why not pop over to the Stampendous site
and see some of the teams peeks
at the new catelogue.

Products used

  1. Stampendous stamps:-  CRS5093 Cling Lilac  stamp set.
  2. Stampendous embossing powders in chunky gold.
  3. Deco Art:-  Weatherwood,
  4. Deco Art Media line fluid acrylics in the following colours Paynes grey, Burnt umber, Quinacridone gold, Prussian blue hue watered down.
  5. Brown and black antiquing cream mixed together.

SASPC Challenge for September

Its time for my SASPC challenge post. I used a Tando media
board for my base which I gave a base coat of
Americana chalk finish paint custom mixed.
I stamped a Carabelle-studio art stamp
onto the board in black archival ink.

I applied Deco Art media crackle paste around the edges
and used Prussian blue to colour over once dry.
A swipe of Pewter treasure gold to the dry
crackle paste.
Boozy bear chipboard pieces were painted with silver
media line paint.

I hope you like the project don't forget if you join in you
have a chance of wining lovely Deco art &

SASPC Summer Challenge

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a lovely relaxing summer.
I am trying to remember how I created this piece
as I made it a while back for Ministry Of
Mixology.
I used a Tando set Andy Skinner Industrial Elements
I started with giving the key hole plate a
base coat with Deco Arts Paynes grey
I followed this with crackle paint I assembled the
bolts and treated them with a coat of paint.
Once crackled I used patina antiquing cream
to highlight area's.
I tripple embossed andy's clock from his steampunk
stamp set.
I can't remember what stamp I used for the centre piece
I think its a Kazelkraft stamp.
An open clock was treated the same as the key plate
and attached to the back.  A stamped clock face
that had glossy accents applied was cut in two some
& small watch part's were dropped into
 the wet accents.
I am proud to be a member of Sandee & amelie's design team.

Well that's all for today folks please feel free to let me know what you think and don't forget to pop over and see what the rest of the team have made. Why not join in with us and play for a chance
to win goodies from both Deco Art and Boozy Bear.
