Hi everyone I am sorry its taken so long to do a new post but
I have been crazy busy at work. I hope you
think it is worth the wait.
I received the lovely Deco art products and for any of you
who have not tried these you must as they are amazing!!!
The antiquing creams and media line mediums are the best the results you
can achieve with them really appeal to my style of work.
Firstly I wanted a wash so I watered down Raw Sienna in a mini mister
and sprayed it over the card, I repeated this with watered down
Burnt sienna from the Decco Art Media line range.
I used a mix of stamps from my stash Tim Holtz classics, La Blanche, Art Journey,
and a background script stamp.
I coloured in the images with watered down Phatholo Turquoise, Quinacridone Blood Orange,
Interference gold from the media range and white. finally sealed with
Deco page matte Medium.
Firstly I got a cardboard chest from a craft shop to which I glued black card
that had been embossed with a swirl pattern. I then applied Media
crackle paste to the edges and into this i pressed small glass beads.
Next I gave it a coat with gesso and allowed to dry.
This was followed with a coat of copper from deco arts dazzling matallics range.
Once dry i covered the chest in Carbon Black antiquing Cream knocked it back with a damp cloth and coated it with Deco page Matte medium. This was followed with Patina antquing cream.
I wanted to highlight the detail again so dipped my finger into the copper paint and
rubbed the paint gently over the surface.
One last coat of matte medium.
I attached the clasp to the front.
I am very pleased with the result this truly is an amazing product.
I hope you have enjoyed this project and forgive me for the delay.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very happy new year. Thank you all for your
support over the last six months, I hope that you all continue to follow me
into the new Year as your support is what drives me.
As always please leave me a comment or two.
Cheers Dee
