Hi everyone I hope you are all well and joining in with us
over at SASPC
over at SASPC
this month for a chance to win some seriously
awesome mixed media supplies.
I have a journal page/spread (new to me but seem to
be doing a lot of them) to inspire you this month.
This layout was inspired by France pappilion and an article she did
in craft stamper magazine.
So I started with a layer of Deco Art gesso, a layer of gel medium, another
layer Of gesso on card.
Next I took my heat gun and heated the mediums till they bubbled
up and created a lovely texture.
I used black modelling paste put through a
distressed harlequin stencil.
The above pic shows the tag with my acknowledgement to France Pappillion
for the inspiration I got from her art.
I sprayed the surface with distress stain sprays till I was happy with
the results
While the black modelling paste was still wet I used powdered rust
A stampers anonymous classic script stamp inked with black
archival ink and stamped randomly over the two pages.
Vintage photo distress stain was used to colour a piece of
cheese cloth.
Treasure gold in spanish topaz was used to highlight
the bubbles created by the heat gun
Deco arts black modelling paste was used through a CWS
Some ideology tissue tape was used under the dyed cheese cloth.
a few die cut cogs were used to finish off.
Thank you for popping by today why not
come and play in a world of
steampunk.
Cheers Dee x
