Guest designer over at a Vintage Journey

Hi everyone! I am very proud to have been invited as a Guest designer over 

@ A Vintage Journey and this month Challenge is

"The Magic of Three" 

Here are the challenge details :

"Using Three of something adds more interest and power whether it is a conversation, art or numbers. Let us see you use three of something in your challenge project (numbers, techniques, stamps, colours, words, products - the list is endless!) 

Let us know what your magic 3 components are and ensure your project is in our vintage; shabby; mixed media; art journaling; industrial, timeworn or steampunk styles that we favour".

SASPC Aprils challenge

Hi everyone I have for you today a piece of steampunk

art that I did for a retreat weekend at (MOM)

Ministry Of Mixology

As you all know I love my Steampunk and I love 

Deco Art products. 

So I used my Steampumpkin stamp from Stampendous

to stamp into my gold embossing powder.

 The tag was gessoed with black gesso followed by

crackle paint.

 The edges of the Tando tag were scraped with texture

Sand paste.

 Distressed harlequin stencil and modelling paste were 

used along the left hand side of the tag.

 Washes were used to age it all with burnt umber and 

Quinacridone gold really watery

The wings were made from paper clay and a mould

then painted gold and patina antiquing cream

applied and knocked back.

 Various embellishments from my stash were used to

finish off the piece.

Same stamp and technique different shaped 

heart.

Embossing crystals

Hi over on the Tando blog this week embossing crystals are

 being explored by the team.

 Today is my turn and i have a few samples of the effects you can
achieve with them.

Hi folks! I have a tag for you today.

I used lots of lovely Deco art products to create

this steam punk tag.

I used a Tando tag to showcase the Boozy Bear

piece.

I enhanced it with micro beads.

Antiquing creams in carbon black and Patina.

Treasure gold was used to showcase the main focal 

point.

A large glass bead was used to cover a stamped 

image.

A close up of the stencilled background.

SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Challenges New/forgotten stash.

Hi Folks its that time again! Team B are showing their 

pieces for this month challenge.

New/forgotten stash.

I started go with my media board and applied silver embossed

card to the base of the board. 

I then applied a graphite paste to the top of the board

to which I applied my new stash of mica powders.

For the heart I used foam board which i painted with

Deco art titan buff and stamped using Andy skinners 

INDUSTRIAL rubber stamp set.

i distressed the edges with raw umber and archival ink

finishing off with wire and die cut cogs.

Finally I added my forgotten stash the wings and crown.

Paper Artsy Challenge

Hi everyone just a quick post noticed the challenge over at Paperartsy

having a rare opportunity to visit their website.

 So I thought lets play along

The theme is 'Orange and Pink'

 Well couldn't go to girly so a bit of black and gold 

accents to complete.

All created with fresco paints Jo Firth stamps and a 

Paper Artsy stencil. 

  Well thats it folks i let you know if I get any where 

speak about last minute.

Laurel Burch From #Stampendous

Hi everyone I have for you today a post card showing what 

you can do with the new collection of Laurel Burch 

stamps from #Stampendous.

Okay a slightly different style from me but a very vibrant 

one.

I started by stamping the image from the New Laurel Burch wild 

horses stamp with momento ink on a watercolour post card.

I coloured the horses in using Zig clean colour brushes and 

lots of water.

Those of you who are familiar with my work will know that this 

is right out of my comfort zone!

I followed the colours and then just drenched the card in water

so it all flowed and the colours blended would you believe

that one of the horses was green!

Once i was happy a little touch of gold to finish the fantasy

Yeah loved it!!!! Think I might just get into this.
